Jan 2017 cheque presentation

Autism Bedfordshire is a non-profit making organisation.  The cost of providing our services is over £500,000 per year.  All our services and activities are funded by trust funds, government funds, corporate donations, individual donations, membership payments and the proceeds from fundraising events.

GiftAid Other Ways to Help Us

We have been fortunate to have received considerable support over the years from the statutory authorities: Bedford Borough Council, Central Bedfordshire Council and Luton Borough Council. We are very grateful to Children in Need, The Bedford Charity, Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales, and the Big Lottery Fund for funding a major part of our services.

However, in this climate of ever-decreasing funds and ever-increasing competition for them, donations from our members and the general public really do make a difference. We would be delighted if you would like to fundraise for our charity and help us continue to provide our vital family support services.

We are happy to offer help and advice and we can supply collection tins, leaflets, posters and sponsor forms.

Fundraising Success Stories

We would like to say a huge thank you to the following Community Groups who have worked so hard recently in raising funds for us. We are enormously grateful for all of your support.

We held an in-store collection at the Sainsbury’s Superstore in Clapham on Friday 16th June. We raised £211 thanks to all of the lovely generous shoppers and supermarket employees. Thank you for having us!

The St Philip and St James Golf Society held an absolutely brilliant charity golf day on Friday 2nd June. Everyone had a wonderful time and their generosity really overwhelmed us.  The £3,900 proceeds will go a long way in ensuring all of our vital services and support groups can continue to be funded. Thank you so very much.

Rotary Poster 6 May 2017 (3)-page-0

Our friends at Biggleswade Ivel Rotary Club and Jordan’s Mill are holding a Sponsored Walk and Community Day on Saturday 6th May.

The event is being held at Jordan’s Mill, with the walkers completing the Green Wheel in order to raise funds (via sponsorship) for a selection of charities including local schools and Autism Bedfordshire. It costs just £5 to take part in the walk and you can chose from a short (3 mile) or slightly more challenging 7 mile distance.

Local businesses and charities will have stalls outside Jordan’s Mill so that the public can find out more about them, and offer their support.

Please come along – it’s going to be a brilliant day!
