Come and join the staff, trustees and members at Autism Bedfordshire's Annual General Meeting, featuring guest speaker Elvira Doghem-Rashid.  Elvira will be giving an insight into what it's like to be a parent of two autistic children, while being autistic herself.

Elvira Doghem-Rashid is currently a PhD candidate studying the impact of equality legislation on the educational attainment of different ethnic groups in state maintained primary and secondary schools.  She is the mother of two children on the autistic spectrum and was herself diagnosed with Asperger’s as an adult.  Since 2010 Elvira has become involved in the autism community, working to support adults and families with children going through the diagnosis journey.  As a researcher Elvira has an active interest in ensuring autistic voices are part of the end-to-end research process.
