Manager Pamela is in charge of the day to day running of the shop with the help of Assistant Manager Karen and our priceless volunteers. In a true community effort, local tradespeople and businesses donated their time, facilities and equipment to help us open, enabling us to bring in a valuable unrestricted source of income. The shop has since developed a loyal customer base and we are so grateful for all the support we receive. We have some very special things for sale, all of which are in excellent condition. From designer clothes and accessories, to books, toys and games. Please come along and browse and see if you can bag yourself a bargain while helping our great charity at the same time. There is plenty of parking for dropping off donations, and a number of other local businesses to discover, so please come and visit us to say hello, learn more about what we do, and maybe even find yourself something special among our donated goods. Working in our shops People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Regardless of the motivation, what unites them all is that they find it both challenging and rewarding. Our volunteers are invaluable to us, without them it would be impossible to do what we do. If you are interested in volunteering in one of our shops, please pop in to the shop in question, or contact our office on 01234 214871 or [email protected]. Donating your unwanted items You can help us by donating your quality, unwanted items. We need clothes, coats and accessories, toys, home accessories and decor to help provide a good variety of stock. Donations can be dropped off at our Dunstable or Bedford shops, or to our office in Bedford through prior arrangement. If you are a UK tax payer and would like to Gift Aid your donations to increase the amount Autism Bedfordshire will receive from the sale of your items by 25%, please complete a Gift Aid form when you leave your donation.
