Summer Activity Schemes 2017 – Vacancies for Paid Staff & Volunteers

 

Support Workers

 

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic team players to join the Autism Bedfordshire team for our Summer Activity Schemes.

 

Autism Bedfordshire summer schemes are fast paced, fun filled action packed days where you will get to see first-hand the difference we are able to make for families.

 

Paid Support Workers will need to have relevant experience and qualifications. We provide full training, references and fantastic experiences for all.

 

Scheme weeks: 24th – 28th July, 31st July – 4th August and 7th – 11th August.

 

Training day: 3rd June.

 

Pay rates: £6.95 – £7.20 (plus holiday pay at 12.07%)

Assistant Support Workers

 

Gain valuable experience supporting children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions across different settings and activities.

 

Our volunteers are given the opportunity to develop and  increase their skills and experience supporting their future career pathways. Autism Bedfordshire summer schemes are fast paced, fun filled action packed days where you will get to see first hand the difference we are able to make for families.

 

Scheme weeks: 24th – 28th July, 31st July – 4th August and 7th – 11th August.

 

Training day: 3rd June.

 

What we offer:   volunteer expenses, DBS check, training and references.

Support Workers –  Loads of Autistic Fun, Leighton Buzzard & Luton

 

Part-Time £7.78 – £8.06 per hour (including holiday entitlement)

 

Term time services

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic team players to join the Autism Bedfordshire team. Successful applicants will provide support for children and young people with autism and Asperger Syndrome who attend our LOAF groups in Leighton Buzzard and Luton.

 

Applicants will need to have relevant experience & qualifications:

 

Experience of Health/Education/Social Care Roles;

Experience of Managing Challenging Behaviour;

Knowledge of Autism;

Knowledge of Asperger’s Syndrome;

GCSEs or Equivalent Qualifications;

Health/Education/Social Care Qualifications (Level 3).

Volunteer Assistant Support Workers – Loads of Autistic Fun, Bedford, Leighton Buzzard & Luton

 

Part-Time – volunteer expenses reimbursed

 

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic team players to provide 1:1 support for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions at our LOAF (Loads of Autistic Fun) groups in Bedford and Leighton Buzzard.

 

Key aspects of the role include: assisting Support Workers in supporting individuals in our care; assisting in setting up safe areas for scheduled activities; promoting social and communication development through stimulating activities appropriate to age range and abilities.
