Corey Simmonds is not just an avid cyclist, he is also a passionate supporter of Autism Bedfordshire, he wanted to give back to us after seeking support for his autistic son Marley. On Sunday 10th September 2023, he cycled from London to Brighton, a distance of about 55 miles, to raise money and awareness for this cause that means so much to him.
Autism Bedfordshire provides a range of services and support for autistic people and their families, such as social activity and skills groups, a helpline service, training for parents and professionals, and more. Corey has seen first-hand how these services can make a difference in the lives of autistic people and their loved ones.
He says:
“This is a charity close to my heart as they have supported my family a great deal after my son Marley was diagnosed with autism a year ago”
Corey set up a fundraising page on GoFundMe, where he raised over £1000 for Autism Bedfordshire.
Thank you Corey for your amazing work and determination on your cycling challenge and we thank him for his support for Autism Bedfordshire. We also thank all the donors and supporters who have contributed to his fundraising campaign. Together, we can make a difference for autistic people and their families in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes.
